Many hundreds of books have been published about the Spitfire and all are a valuable source of information. The following are books we have used in particular as reference sources for the restoration because of the detail they include:

Spitfire Mk IX and XVI Engineered - Paul Monforton (www.monfortonpress.com)

Recently published and incredibly well documented study of the Mk IX Spitfire with detailed engineering drawings and a wealth of photographs and detailing - 890 colour photographs, 133 pages of detailed drawings, 432 pages in total
