Pilot profile - Sean Perrett

Squadron Leader Sean Perrett, RNZAF lives with his wife Aimee and their two sons in Feilding. In 1985, Sean joined the Royal Air Force and started his training on the Jet Provost Mk3.  Following advanced flying training on the BAE Hawk he was posted to RAF Wittering to fly the Harrier jump jet. In 1994 he was selected to join the prestigious RAF Red Arrows display team and flew with them in the 1995-1997 display seasons.  In 2003, after 18 years in the RAF, he and his family moved to New Zealand where he joined the RNZAF. Currently he is an instructor with the RNZAF Central Flying School at RNZAF Ohakea which trains the Air Force’s flying instructors and he is also the Flight Commander for the RNZAF Historic Flight. Sean has flown over 6600hrs and 350 displays in 20 countries.
